Key rules

  • § 2.11.5p. 2-27

Don't stare into oncoming headlights. Shift your eyes a little to the right, using a lane or edge line if there is one, and never answer with your own high beams.

    Night Driving Procedures

  • § 2.11.2p. 2-25

Heavy eyelids, frequent blinking and missed exits are warning signs of fatigue. Trying to push on is a major cause of fatal crashes, so stop and sleep for the night or take a 15 to 20 minute nap.
